Muscle loss, weakness after the GLP-1 shot?
Struggling sugars and weight? But you're not "that overweight...yet?"
Are you between ages of 45-55? {a real struggle for perimenopausal women here}
Have you quit 1 vice, only to gain another one to help you cope?
Develop your Health Acronym for YOUR life with AI
I live "The Good Enough Lively" NOT AN INVISIBLE ONE.
I am aware and have seen the life with fading muscle and it's not the path for you.
You want to be strong and move. Not weak and frail, right?
It's called "skinny-fat".
Do you have it?
My mother's knees were bigger than her thighs. {I'll say this again later}
Do you know "skinny" is deceptive to you in the development of diabetes type 2. If you have no "working muscle" as I call it, you have no place to store excess sugar or your food.
Muscles are "cabinet space" for your food.
You must maintain your muscles as you age forever.
Or be destined to be weak, frail and dependent.
Do you have trouble standing from a chair, yet you're thin?

You should develop your "rest of life program" by reverse engineering what you think you'll die from.
Sound morbid?
Don't knock until you try it.
I use my mother's story. She was classic textbook case of type 2 diabetes and it cost her 20 years off her life. One problem her knees were bigger than her thighs all of her life until after perimenopause and quitting smoking. She was petite. She was very sedentary, never drank alcohol. She gained just 24 lbs. in her middle that sent her into the world of diabetes type 2.
Even after cardiac rehab my mom dropped dead while on a treadmill in a local gym...
...Today
I do some of her habits but most are opposite of hers - The most important -I exercise for strength- and I stretch for normal flexibility.

Here's my manual's title -
Minky's Manual - "WADP-BEACH?!" {pronounced "What up bee-aach?!"} Let me be clear, this is something I say to myself when I need to get it together. It's coming soon.

A quick view manual, an example of how I kept my 4-6 pack, sometimes
2-pack, in my sixties... while still enjoying my life.
"Enjoying" is a relative word. {Psst...you can develop your "health acronym" too. For life.}

W - Whiskey, Wine
A - American hemp, Apple
D - D, Diet Dr. Pepper, Dairy, "Don't tell everything you know"
P - Private Idaho, Poser
B - Bacon, Beans, Breath
E- Every Irrational want
A - Animal Tallow
C - Cod liver oil, Candy Curse
H - Housework Hips, Heart-rate monitoring
Volitional & Anecdotal. Real shyt.
The Good Enough Lively is a way of life for me.
What's constant about it is...
It's never constant. Consistently Inconsistent.
That's by design. AI design. My way. Maybe yours?

Minky's thoughts, beliefs:

Diabetes Type 2 begins in the muscle. (lack of muscle)
Muscle is cabinet space for your food
I often will use a car's motor as a metaphor for muscle usage
I like to use metaphors for clarity of meaning, example; not actual science that's boring. No one listens.
Walking is a privilege. It's what humans do. It's how we get around. We're bi-pedal. Walking should not be your fitness modality. People put too much into walking. People set weight loss expectations/ weight maintenance expectations too high with walking. When you start walking around the neighborhood, what happens? You care what your neighbors think. You won't admit it but you do. You think they say, "There goes Doris walking around the block again. She better pick up the pace, if she's going o lose that weight!"
{Meanwhile you know you don't exercise to lose weight} You eventually stop or only walk on beautiful days.
There are no healthy people; only people your healthier than.
You don't lose weight to get healthy; you get healthy to lose weight.
